Week 11 semester 2
Tuesday March 28
Today was the first day back and i was extremely tired with 4ish hours of sleep. over break i was at the Ventura Regional for robotics. turns out the spinners are a big hit with running out of each batch in 10-15 minutes of getting the new batch out. I was lucky enough to spot a Mr Wilton from the Wilton forest, but was an eighth wonder of the world to see him smiling for once. I also got a picture of Mr miller and Mr nelson wearing steampunk hats.
Wednesday March 29
Today was spent trying to figure out how the pit went togeether because when the people took the pit apart they did it wrong and took it apart in so many parts that you could really figure out which goes where. so i spent the day sorting and then puting some of them back together.
Thursday March 30
today is the last day before competition and so it is spent updating websites and making it look good so that i dont have to do much next week.
Week 12 semester 2
Monday April 3
its the first day back from competition and it was really exciteing because we won the regional engineering inspiration award which comes with a free invitation to championships in Houston.
Tuesday April 4
Today i tried to figure out how the pit went back together becuse the back of it was completely taken appart and then was atempted to be put back together last night. at the end i have come to the conclution taht we are missing pieces and they were either cut or taken cuz they arnt anywhere.
Wednesday April 5
today i spent the period cutting out a piece for another climb that will hopefully work and then we could have a greater chance of being chosen in competition.
Thursday April 6
Today i had really nothing to do so i watched cole grind down his bad welds that he did yesturday and then he tried again with the stick welder and it turned out a little better.
Friday April 7
Today was a sorta relax day becuse there wasnt much to do for fab. on a side note tho jacob poole's mom donated 3k and mr wilton gave 1.5k to the gofundme page to help ease the cost for houston.

Monday April 10
Today today i started to work on a new background picture for my index. and a great picture that only certain people can see.
Tuesday April 11
today i didnt have this class but i spent it douing boring work and then i left at 2 and played FOR HONOR for 4 hours.
Wednesday April 12
Today i had this class so i finished my website and then finished my index picture.
Thursday April 13
Today i didnt have this class so it was a bit boring but i went to USC to watch their football team practice and i thought it was funny because the lady said you may not photograph or snapchat any part of this practice when the team was standing there waiting for the drill to start.maybe they had new jerseys or somethng? idk but that made me internally laugh.
Friday April 14
Today we had to take down the pit and turn it into chunks for easy assembly for Houston. I will not be attending the packing of the pit because i will probibly be doing chores or errands.
Week 13 semester 2
Monday April 17
today was a last minute do stuff day in which cole and sam are making another drum in the off chance that it breaks. Kirk worked in character models for a pixel game. I worked on my website dince i dont have much to do. probibly gonna do some photoshop.
Tuesday April 18
Today is my last day of the week because i leave to houston tonight. not much to do except update and play with adobe.
Houston trip
wednesday
so i didnt get much sleep about 30 minutes before turbulance woke me up. I got 4 things of coffee today and about 6 hours of sleep from monday night to tonight. we set up the pit today and found out that in the process of assembling or dissassembling at the shop something went wrong and the back ended up about 2-4 inches higher than the front. there was also some pieces that didnt fit or were presumed lost. we also attatched the climber and did our first test match where it CLIMBED FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!!! so that was pretty cool. I talked to some of the sponors of 589 and talked to them about what the money goes to and what we do to show our gratitude.
Thursday
TOday was better because i had sleep. i spent the day talking to sponsors and attempting to control teh usual pit chaos. not much happened today and we got to swim in the pool that was 5 feet deep but teh hot tub was nice since the steam canceled out the muggyness of Houston.
Friday
Today was teh last day of qualifying matches and it was an exciting day. we broke some robots and talked to 4 people from disney imagineering. i also delivered our handout gears to the cooler master booth and had some really good mac and cheese with pulled pork style chicken.
Saturday
Today was alliance selection and it was boring but i was able to trade a gear spinner for an actual spinner. I went to the merch store and got stuff including a sweatshirt and a laptop backpack. I was able to get some pictures before my phone died and i couldnt get the fireworks show with the hotbox of tyhe stadium.
Sunday
Today we went to johnson space center and got tours of the control center as well as the lab that contains the 118 shop with all their banners.
Monday
Today we flew home. It was a sad and horrify8ing day. it was sad because it was the last day of being in houston surrounded by thousands of people that share your interest in robotics and engineering.
Week 14 semester 2
Tuesday April 25
Today was a tiring day becuase i didnt get much sleep and i was still on houston time. i was also tired due to lectures and general boring busy work assigned by my teachers.\
wednesday April 26
Today I was told to try and updatw my website from a laptop from the classroom. But what really sucks is that i havent log in to any of them so it took 15 minutes to just log in and then i had about 10 minutes to update before it was 6th period.
Thurday April 27
today i was able to update my website from a cad computer that ive already logged into so it only took 40ish seconds or so. i also downloaded pictures from the trip to this comp where i would be able to store em.
Friday April 28
Today is the last day before grading tonight so im trying to get all the pictures and stuff uplpoaded but its taking longer thatn expected.
Week 15 semester 2
Monday May 1
Today mr miller went over grades and i had an F even though i know i filled out the sections so i went and talked to him. everything was straightened out i just have to change leks to be more visible.
Tuesday May 2
Today the veterans were given the go ahead to start the skateboard building process and so i started making a sketchup of it.
WEdnesday May 3
Today we had to come up with a paper airplane that could travel the farthest. we did come up with a design but we turned in teh wrong instructions and so we were dqed.
Thursday may 4
Today i finished my cad of the skateboard and then found out it was 1 minute from the bell ringing. not the most exciting day but i had no hw so the day wasnt bad.
Friday May 5
Today I got my cad changed into a pdf and then ian helped me relearn how to ride a skateboard because i had forgotten over a year how to ride.
Week 15 semester 2
Monday May 8
Today i cut out the planks for my skateboard with jacob and kevin. i decieded to go with 5 planks instead of the normal 4 becuase i wanted the extra flexibility im this board than i did in last years.
Tuesday May 9
Today we took kevin's board out of the press and put mine in. I started gluing in the second half of the class so i ran a bit overtime and was partially late to practice but we had field today so it wasnt as bad as it would be during weight room days
Wednesday May 10
Today I cut out my board mostly and then mr miller said we should try the table router because it would get a cleaner cut than the old jigsaw that we were using. as i found out though you need slight adjustments to get that type of cut and so there are some weird indents on one side of my board.
Thursday May 11
Today i tried again with the router and got some decent cuts but then used the table saw to get a good 90 degrees cut because it was faster.
Friday May 12
Today i have to update my website because i comepletely for got to upday throughout the week. yep... this is what im doing today...
Week 16 semester 2
Monday may 15
Today i worked on straightening out my cuts for my skateboard and then the alignment was wrong so i had to try and figure it out
Tuesday may 16
Today i corrected yesturday's confusion on what was wrong and then i straighten it out a bit more.
Wednesday may 17
tdoay i was panicing because i had to finish senoir gifts so during the wednesday challenge i was talking to my brother about welding cole's present before i got home.

Today not much happened i was preoccupied with senor gifts because the banquet was tonight.
Friday may 19
today i found out something interesting and that was that AAA drives educatipon courses online have a 3 hour time limit before it kicks you out and you mcant continue for 24 hours.
Week 15 semester 2
Monday may 22
today sanded down my board and it was really boring but it got halfway done before the bell rang and i had to clean up.
Tuesday may 23
Today i finished sanding down my board and then drew out the area where my holes would got for the trucks
Wednesday may 24
Today i drilled my holes and then tested the holes by putting on wheels and did the deviation test. i came out with a score of an average of 1.0375 inches of deviation over 10 feet.
Thursday may 25
Today i traced out the lines that will be my pattern for my board and then i indented them into the board with a chissle to give light lines when the torch burns the pencil away
friday may 26
today i was going to finish giving my board tyhe burnt look but mr miller left the torch in his car and since dr neat was nin the shop he wasnt able to get it so i decided to update my website since i have really nothing else to do.
